      NGC 2626

NGC 2626 is a reflection, emission and absorption nebula in the constellation of Vela, approx. 3,200 Light-years away. Next to an obscuring dust cloud and surrounded by reddish emission from a large HII region it lies within a complex of dusty molecular clouds known as the Vela Molecular Ridge. NGC 2626 is itself a cloud of interstellar dust reflecting blue light from the hot embedded star visible in the star forming region.

This was an excellent dataset to work with, although did have some issues working with the Ha subframes, although this was primarily my lack of practice using some elements of Pixinsight.

Processed in Pixinsight, Blur Exterminator, Affinity, Star Exterminator, Topaz DE-Noise/Sharpen
