NGC 5078 is a Hubble-type Sa spiral galaxy with an active nucleus (LINER) in the constellation of Hydra, south of the celestial equator. It is estimated to be 91 million light-years from the Milky Way, has a diameter of about 105,000 light-years, and a bulge 50,000 light-years thick.
