      NGC 2467

      NGC 2467 — also known as the “Skull and Crossbones Nebula” — is a chaotic star-forming region filled with glowing hydrogen, oxygen and sulfur gas sculpted by newborn stars. Dark dust lanes cut through the bright teal and gold clouds, revealing the turbulent heart of this stellar nursery.
