Nebula M78 (Messier 78, NGC 2068) is a beautiful, bluish reflection nebula in the constellation Orion, about 1,350 light-years away, known as the brightest diffuse reflection nebula in the sky, visible in small telescopes as a hazy patch reflecting light from young stars within the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex; it's a popular target for amateur astronomers and is also known as "Casper the Friendly Ghost Nebula".
