      NGC 3293

The star cluster NGC 3293 is a young open cluster located in the northern region of the constellation Carina, a constellation in the southern celestial hemisphere, approximately 8,000 light-years away from Earth. It contains about 50 bright stars and is one of the most prominent clusters in the southern sky. NGC 3293 is known for its bright central star, HD 91943, a massive blue star that illuminates the cluster. Its region is rich in emission nebulae and gas clouds, contributing to its beauty and scientific interest. This cluster is estimated to be around 10 million years old, making it relatively young in astronomical terms. Detailed studies of this cluster and its region can provide insights into star formation and evolution in dense and turbulent environments.
