A cosmic rose: it is the result of the collision of two galaxies.
"... a particular subject, first of all due to the distance: we are 375 million light years away.
Then because they are two interacting galaxies that are deforming.
They are known as ARP273 and are located in the constellation Andromeda. They are quite small (2.1x1.4 arcmin), so the details are muddy, but it is the best I could do remotely with two hours of exposure, using a 70cm telescope in Spain from the TelescopeLive network."
