NGC 6729 is a reflection/emission nebula of the Corona Australis Molecular Cloud in the constellation Corona Australis. This region of sky is heavily obscured by interstellar dust, which is home to several bright nebulae. (The Sky Live)
The dark brown and almost black clouds, that form the background and central regions of the image, are dark nebulae or absorption nebulae. These nebulae are molecular clouds, composed primarily of molecular hydrogen, H2. Molecular clouds are stellar nurseries.
