M33, known as the Triangulum Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy in the constellation of Triangulum approx. 3 million light years from Earth. It is the third largest member of our Local Group behind the Andromeda and Milky Way Galaxies. It is believed to be either a satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy or on a rebound into it due to their interactions, velocities and proximity to one another in the night sky.
