NGC 1532 is 10.6 magnitude barred spiral galaxy also know as Haley's Coronet and was discovered by James Dunlop on October 29, 1826. NGC 1532 is located in the constellation of Eridanus at a distance of around 50-60 million light years away. NGC 1532 is interacting with it's neighboring dwarf galaxy NGC 1531. The interaction has distorted one of the spiral arms with the tidal force tug-of-war. Viewing this interaction makes me wonder what the M51 and NGC 5195 interaction would look like from an edge-on view.
