Running Man
The Running Man Nebula (NGC 1977) is a prominent reflection nebula located approximately 1,500 light-years away in the constellation Orion. Situated in Orion's Sword just north of the famous Orion Nebula (M42), it is a popular target for astrophotography, named for the human-like silhouette formed by dark dust lanes.
