The Gumball globular cluster in the constellation Ophiuchus. It is also designated as NGC 6218. The central region of the cluster contains a rather loose concentration of stars. The cluster contains a large population of red giants and a number of younger, blue stars that might have been formed by merging with older stars. The data were processed with PixInsight, RC-Astro Tools and Photoshop.
