CG 4, nicknamed the "Hand of God," is a cometary globule located roughly 1,300 light-years away in the Puppis constellation. This striking cosmic structure, shaped like a comet with a 1.5-light-year head and an 8-light-year tail, is a dense, star-forming nebula that appears to be reaching out to "devour" a distant galaxy.
