Flying Bat in deep space (LRGB, widefield)
LDN 43, widely known as the Cosmic Bat Nebula, is a dense dark nebula and stellar nursery located about 1,400 light-years away in the Ophiuchus constellation. Spanning 12 light-years across, its thick cosmic dust absorbs and blocks light, creating a striking silhouette resembling a bat with outstretched wings.
