NGC 2477 is a bright open star cluster in the constellation Puppis (southern hemisphere).
For stacking the LRGB images, I used Astro Pixel Processor and for processing PixInsight. The finishing touches were done in Affinity V3.
During processing, I made sure to create a nice contrast between the stars and the background. I also made sure the stars looked as natural as possible, without oversaturating them. You can clearly see that the open star cluster consists of both many young stars (blue/white) and older stars (red/orange).
I used BlurXTerminator (Correct only) to correct the stars, not to make them any sharper. With star clusters, using BlurXTerminator to sharpen them can all too easily make them look artificial.
Clear Skies!
