Gum 37 (named after Australian astronomer Colin Gum) - also called RCW 54c - is associated with the star cluster NGC 3572. It is located in the constellation Carina. The "tadpoles" refer to the elephant trunk-like tendrils of interstellar gas and dust, remnants of star formation. That thing at the top of the image that looks like a cosmic ear floating in space is believed to be a planetary nebula or a remnant of the molecular cloud that formed the cluster.
