      IC 4685 (SHO)

IC 4685 is an emission nebula near the Lagoon Nebula in Sagittarius. Most images emphasize its ionized hydrogen with dominant red hues, so it's very cool to see it expressed in the Hubble palette.

PixInsight processing flow: colors were created by applying the Hubble palette to each channel (S = red, H = green, O = blue), followed by color calibration, background neutralization, and curves transformation (post-stretch). Stars were extracted via SXT while image was linear and were processed separately using histogram and curves transformation.
