M46 & NGC 2438
M46 is an open star cluster in the constellation of Puppies. It contains around 500 stars with a diameter of 30ly and lies 5.4 kly away.
The planetary nebula, NGC 2438, does not appear to be physically related to the cluster and is approx. 2.9 kly from Earth.
