M83 a.k.a Southern Pinwheel Galaxy, or NGC 5236. Barred spiral galaxy ~15 mil ly away on the borders of Hydra and Centaurus. One of the closest and brightest barred spiral galaxies in the sky. The "Southern Pinwheel" nickname derives from its resemblance to the M101 a.ka. Pinwheel Galaxy.
LRGB 20h 15m (14:12:13:14x300s, 3x26x300s, 16:14:13:13x600s) two datasets from a CCD and CMOS camera. From CHI-1 telescope, a Planewave CDK24 with FLI PL 9000 / QHY 600M Pro camera and Astrodon 2nd GEN LRGB filters, situated in the Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile. Part of the telescope.live network. Taken on multiple dates, Feb 2021 - April 2023.
