      NGC 3521

      NGC 3521 a.k.a. Bubble Galaxy.

Discovered in 1784 by the British astronomer William Hershel, NGC 3521 is located in the constellation Leo, about 40 million light years away from us. With a diameter of about 50,000 light years, NGC3521 stands out both for its bright star-filled core and for its long spiral arms that host a large number of star-forming regions.
