NGC3576 is a spectacular bright emission nebula in the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way about 9,000 light-years from Earth. It has very vivid colors due to the hydrogen gas being energized by the young nearby stars. Stellar winds form the loops and Bok globules are scattered throughout.
