Centaurus A

NGC 5128, also known as C 77 and Centaurus A, is a peculiar galaxy in the constellation Centaurus located at 11 million light-years away from the Milky Way.

Centaurus A is also one of the strongest known radio sources (Cen A), as well as the closest of the active galaxies, and the fifth brightest galaxy in the night sky; at the center of the galaxy is thought to be a supermassive black hole of many millions of solar masses.
