Centaurus A
Centaurus A (NGC 5128 ou C77) est une galaxie lenticulaire située dans la constellation du Centaure à une distance estimée à 38,6 millions d'années-lumière.
Elle est la cinquième galaxie la plus brillante du ciel. En onde radio, Centaurus A est l'un des plus brillants et des plus vastes objets du ciel s'étendant, sur presque 20 fois le diamètre apparent de la Lune.
