NGC 6302
A Planetary nebula in the constellation Scorpius. Also called the Butterfly or Bug Nebula. The dying star ejected its envelope of gases. The shape of the outflow represented by the "wings" is due to a dust lane in the center which constricts the flow. Data from the observation bundle.
Halpha - 21 x 300s; SII - 11 x 300s; OIII - 21 x 300s.
