Dolphin-head Nebula (SH2-308)
This incredible imperfect cosmic bubble is about 4530 light years away from us and is 60 light years across. It’s caused by a Wolf-Rayet star at its pre-supernova state. Imagine how it would look if that became a supernova.
This data was captured during a 99% illuminated Moon in the sky. This is 90 mins of Ha and Oiii data presented in HOO palette. It came out descent considering it’s short exposure and having a blasting moon in the sky. It did have quite some noise but oh well. I hope to shoot this awesome thing again when I upgrade my rig.
