The Dolphin-Head Nebula - a widefield view
The Dolphin-Head Nebula is the common name of a HII region in the constellation Canis Major. Other designations are Sh2-308, RCW 11, and LBN 1052. The nebula surrounds a Wolf-Rayet star named EZ Canis Majoris. Nebulae Sh2-303 and Sh2-304 are in this picture too.
