      NGC 660

NGC 660 is an unusual and unique polar ring galaxy located about 45 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Pisces. It is the only such galaxy that is host to a "late-type lenticular galaxy" whatever that means 😉 . It probably formed when two galaxies collided a billion years ago. However, it may have started as a disk galaxy that captured material from a passing galaxy. This material may have been "stretched" over time, creating a swirling ring.
