      NGC660

NGC 660 is a peculiar galaxy with a large, ring-like structure that surrounds the central lenticular galaxy at an approximately 45-degree angle. It is located approximately 45 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Pisces. The ring glows blue, indicating stars actively being formed within it. The dark band of dust within the ring can be seen intersecting with the dark dust band in the galactic disk, highlighting the complex structure. The rings are thought to have formed through gravitational interactions between the central galaxy and other galaxies.
