Rigil Kentaurus - Alpha Centauri A

Alpha Centauri is a triple star system in the southern constellation of Centaurus. It consists of three stars: Rigil Kentaurus, Toliman, and Proxima Centauri. Rigil Kentaurus is the biggest star of the system. It has 1.1 times the mass and 1.5 times the luminosity of the Sun. As living in the northern hemisphere DSO's of the southern hemisphere have a special, mystical atmosphere for me.
