NGC 300, also referred to the Sculptor Pinwheel Galaxy and Caldwell 70, is a spiral galaxy in there constellation Sculptor. It was discovered on 5 August 1826 by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop. It is approx. 6 million light-years away and is one of the closest galaxies to the Local Group
