      NGC 1555- Hind's variable nebula

NGC 1555 (a.k.a. Hind's Variable Nebula, Sh2-238 or HH 155) is a variable nebula 4 light years across, illuminated by the star T Tauri, located in the constellation Taurus. It is 400 light years away from Earth, and has a magnitude of 9.98. It is a Herbig–Haro object- HH objects are bright patches of nebulosity associated with newborn stars. They are formed when narrow jets of partially ionised gas ejected by stars collide with nearby clouds of gas and dust at several hundred kilometers per second.
