IC 4685, is a beautiful emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Sagittarius, located close to the more famous M8 Lagoon Nebula.
This is my first attempt at processing this object, and I really enjoyed it. The dark nebulae in it also make this object fascinating.
I processed this nebula in SHO, the Hubble Palette.
Here is a second version in which I applied SCNR to remove even more green from the photo than in my previous version. I don't like to use too much SCNR, because I find that it often overcorrects the photo.
My workflow consisted of: Automatic DBE (Seti Astro), Russell Croman's three tools: BlurXTerminator, StarXTerminator, and NoiseXTerminator. After that, I also used GHS, NarrowbandNormalization, and SelectiveColorCorrection (Jürgen Terpe), SCNR (Green -> Amount 0.50), among others.
