      Sunflower galaxy

      M63, or the sunflower galaxy, is a flocculent spiral galaxy located 27 million light years from earth in Canes Venatici with a brightness magnitude of 9.3. It belongs to the M51 group -- the same group that contains the whirlpool galaxy. This image is presented in LRGB format. Software used: Astro Pixel Processor, Pixinsight, and Photoshop.
