Caldwell 49, aka Rosette (HSO & Stars Spiked)

The Rosette Nebula is an H II region located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy. The open cluster NGC 2244 is closely associated with the nebulosity, the stars of the cluster having been formed from the nebula's matter. I combined over 24 hours of narrowband CMOS data from both the AUS2 and SPA1 remote Telescope Live observatories to create this closeup mosaic final image, using Astro Pixel Processor. Post processing using Pixinsight and Paintshop Pro ultimate, enjoy!
