Globular cluster NGC 6723 and the Corona Australis Nebula

NGC 6723 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Corona Australis. Compared to other clusters, it is characterized by a higher metallicity and a predominance of young stars. The cluster is located almost 30 kly from the Sun. Coincidentally on the sky it is located next to a reflection nebula complex (NGC 6726, NGC 6729, and IC 4812) which lies only about 400 ly away.
