      Tarantula nebula, NGC 2070, a Southern Hemisphere Gem

      Part of the Large Magellanic Cloud, the brightest star factory in the Galaxy. The Tarantula Nebula is the most vigorous star forming region known in the local Universe. It is 170 000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) in the southern sky and is clearly visible to the naked eye as a large milky patch. Over 40 hours of Ha, Sii, and Oiii data from Telescope Live observatory in Chile. Astro Pixel Processor stacks.
