Arp 273

Arp 273 consists of UGC 1810 (PGC 8961, VV 323 / 323a and others), the spiral being pulled apart at the center and UGC 1813 (PGC 8970, VVC 323b and others), the galaxy interacting with it below. These belong to the “Double galaxies with connected arms” class. Both of these are located approximately 300 million light-years away in Andromeda.

Luminance – 48x120s – 96 minutes – binned 4x4

RGB – 52:49:49x120s – 104:98:98 minutes each – binned 4x4

396 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 36 minutes

Imaged August 14th, 15ht, 16th and 20th, 2023 at the IC Astronomy Observatory (Spain) with a QHY 600M on a Officina Stellare ProRC 700 at f/8 5600 mm.
