LDN 1251, often called the Rotten Fish Nebula or Angler Fish Nebula, is a dense, dusty dark nebula and active star-forming region located about 1,000 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus. Part of the Cepheus Flare complex, it features faint, reflective nebulosity, newborn stars, and Herbig-Haro objects, spanning over 25 light-years.
