Abell 65 / Sh2-52 is a faint planetary nebula with a bluish colored binary central star. This bipolar (PN) is about 4,000 to 5,500 light-years from Earth and was found by Stewart Sharpless and published in his 1959 catalog as a possible planetary. George Abell identified it as a planetary nebula in 1966.
