M20 - Trifid Nebula

Messier 20 is one of the large gaseous nebulae in the Sagittarius region; it lies 1.3° from the Lagoon Nebula (M8). Numerous young stellar objects, protoplanetary disks, and Herbig-Haro objects have been discovered within the nebula.
