Barnard 228

Barnard 228 is the large dark nebula that fills the field of view.

Some HMSTG dark nebulae that are part of B228 along with numerous others can be found throughout the field. See the annotated image.

Luminance – 5x600s – 50 minutes – binned 1x1

RGB – 5x600s – 50 minutes each – binned 1x1

200 minutes total exposure – 3 hours 20 minutes

Imaged August 1st and 2nd, 2021 at the El Sauce Observatory (Rio Hurtado, Chile) with a FLI ML 16200 on a Officina Stellare RH200 at f/3 600 mm.
