The Cygnus Loop is a massive, expanding supernova remnant and emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, located about 2,600 light-years from Earth. Measuring 120 light-years across and spanning six full moons in the night sky, its brightest visible filaments are collectively known as the Veil Nebula.
