      NGC 4631

      This spiral galaxy is in the constellation Canes Venatici. It is also known as Caldwell 32 and the "Whale Galaxy". The galaxy appears edge on from our viewpoint on Earth. There is a nearby dwarf elliptical galaxy, NGC 4627. Interactions with this small galaxy is distorting the larger one. Data were processed with PixInsight, RC-Astro tools and Photoshop.
