      Running Man Nebula (NGC 1977)

      The Running Man Nebula - NGC 1977 or Sh2-279 (discovered by William Herschel in 1796) - is composed of three types nebulae, reflection, emission and dark folds of dust clouds that are only seen as a result of their absorption of light beyond. It is found in the Orion constellation, approx 1,460 lightyears from Earth.
