      NGC 1977 - The Running Man Nebula

      This is an image of NGC 1977, also known as the Running Man Nebula. It is a reflection nebula about 1,500 light years away in the constellation Orion. It is the northernmost part of the asterism known as Orion's Sword, lying 0.6° north of the Orion Nebula.
