      Omega Centauri

The brightest and biggest globular in the Milky Way, yet for us in Northern Europe it might as well not exist. Thank goodness for Telescope Live.

Before joining Telescope Live, (mainly for those more southern targets), I wondered if I could wait it out?

You see if I understand axial precession correctly objects such as that cluster will effectively move north over time. If I adopted a more healthy life style then maybe in the not too distant future it will start to appear just above the horizon here in the UK. Turns out that won't be until about 2,000 years time! Still, worth checking before spending money unnecessarily and I don't need to go on a healthy diet.
