      NGC 5189

NGC 5189, a.k.a Spiral Planetary nebula, Gum 47, or IC 4274 a complex planetary nebula in Musca ~1780-3000 light years away and 1 light year across. Most recent studies put it as a quadrupolar nebula with multiple symmetrical interactions and flows with a low-mass Wolf-Rayet star at its center.

The image combines broadband (RGB) and narrowband data (SHO) with RGB stars. Total 30h 10m RGB (13:12:13x600s) SHO (46:47:50x600s). From CHI-1 Telescope, a Planewave CDK24 with FLI PL 9000 camera, and Astrodon 2nd GEN LRGB, HSO 3nm filters, situated in the Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile. Part of the telescope.live telescope network. Taken on multiple dates March 2021 - July 2022.
