      RCW 40

      A bright HII emission region part of Vela OB1 association. The RCW catalog describes it as "Bright region possibly associated with diffuse surrounding background emission". Excited by the O9V star CD-48 4352 located in the center.

      SHO 8h 30m (20:16:15x300s) from CH1, from CHI-1 a Planewave CDK24 with QHY600M camera, and Astrodon SHO 3nm, filters, situated in the Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile. Part of the telescope.live telescope network. Taken on multiple dates in Jan and March 2023.
