      NGC 1763 (Bean Nebula)

      NGC 1763 (N11 B, LH10, ESO 85-EN20) is an emission nebula and an open cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The young stars in the open cluster are the source of the emissions. It is large, bright, and irregular. It is part of a large region of stars called LMC-N11. It was discovered by James Dunlop in 1826. The area around NGC 1763 is known as the Bean Nebula.


      NGC 1763’s apparent size is 3 to 5 arcmin and its apparent magnitude is 9.4.
