NGC 1499 "California" nebula in SHO palette

The Calrifornica nebula (NGC 1499 or SH2-220) is an emission beluga in the constellation Preseus. Due to its low surface brightness, it's hard to observe visually. This SHO image was processed with SiriL, Affinity Photo 2, StarXTerminator, NoiseXTerminator. The starless images was treated with a mild tone mapping to emphasize the structure of the nebula.
