Sh2-282 is a captivating H II emission nebula situated in the constellation Monoceros, approximately 4,000 to 5,000 light-years away from Earth. Located just south of the famous Rosette Nebula, it spans roughly 50 light-years across and is prized by astrophotographers for its complex, dusty details.
